In the FX market, keeping information up-to-date is an on-going industry challenge, with price visibility on financial newswires often limited. In addition, the bank needs to offer its clients better prices than its competitors so it wanted to have its own global network for access to real-time, structured internal pricing data, instead of relying on one-to-one messaging and phone calls.
Solutions
The bank deployed DataGrid, a live record of real-time pricing information that is updated by the traders (who are listed as chat room managers) on their Persistent Group Chat platform. The data is available as ‘view only’ by the sales team, who can then use the chat room as a channel for questions and discussions.
